Daniel B. Rath has extensive experience in commercial disputes and bankruptcy related litigation. He represents receivers, corporate fiduciaries, financial institutions, bondholders, investors, trustees, pension and profit sharing plans and institutions of higher education in the Delaware Court of Chancery and Federal District Courts.  Dan represents secured creditors, unsecured creditors, acquirers, debtors and creditors committees in the Delaware bankruptcy court. Dan’s litigation experience extends to representations of architects, engineers, general contractors and construction managers.  He has extensive mediation and arbitration experience in all related practice areas.  

Dan is admitted to practice in Delaware and Pennsylvania and by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and is associated with several professional organizations, including the American Bar Association, the Business Law, Litigation and Forum Committee on the Construction Industry, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Delaware State Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Associated Builders and Contractors Association, and the Delaware Contractors Association.  He received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and his J.D. from Temple University School of Law, cum laude.  Prior to forming Landis Rath & Cobb LLP with Adam Landis and Rick Cobb, Dan was an associate and then partner with Duane Morris & Heckscher LLP (now Duane Morris LLP) and a shareholder with Klett Rooney Lieber & Schorling PC (now Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC).  Dan also spent three years working for The Proctor & Gamble Distributing Company.
