 Mark D. Olivere concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate bankruptcy and restructuring. Mark has experience representing chapter 11 debtors, official and unofficial committees, secured lenders and other secured creditors, landlords and property managers, indenture trustees and bondholders, significant trade and other unsecured creditors, and asset purchasers in a variety of national bankruptcy cases in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Mark graduated from Widener University School of Law, cum laude, in 2002. While in law school, he was a Research Editor for The Delaware Journal of Corporate Law, Volume 27, and published M.B. Sturgis and the NLRB's Reevaluation of the Contingent Employee's Ability to Unionize: Ramifications and Recommendations for the User Employer, 27 DEL. J. CORP. L. 151 (2002). During law school, Mark completed a judicial externship for the Honorable Thomas L. Ambro of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and was the recipient of the Donald E. Pease Best Student Article Award, 2002; and the Honorable Helen S. Balick Award for Excellence in Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights, 2001-2002. He received his B.A. in History and Criminal Justice from the University of Delaware in 1998.

Following graduation from law school, Mark served as a law clerk to The Honorable William C. Carpenter, Jr., in the Superior Court of Delaware. He then practiced as an associate at Cross & Simon, LLC in the areas of corporate, commercial and bankruptcy litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Mark was an associate in the Restructuring & Insolvency Department at the Wilmington office of Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP, where he co-authored Deepening Insolvency: Coming to a Court Near You?, RENAISSANCE NEWSLETTER, (Morris Anderson & Associates, Ltd.), Second Quarter, 2005, reprinted in A.B.A. BANKR. LITIG. NEWS. BANKR. & INSOL. COMM., Vol. 12, No. 02, Summer 2005.

Mark is admitted to practice by the Supreme Court of Delaware, the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Delaware Bankruptcy American Inn of Court and the Bankruptcy Section of the Delaware State Bar.
